Building Community Connections

Everyone has Something Valuable to Contribute

DreamTeams connects neurodivergent young adults to meaningful community service opportunities

Our Model

Many individuals with mild cognitive challenges find it difficult to find full-time employment. And yet, there are many places where help is needed: food pantries, clothing banks, senior centers, shelters – to name just a few.

Pick A Project

DreamTeams partners with community-based service providers to create a calendar of service opportunities throughout the week. Members can volunteer as often as they like.

Volunteers are assembled in small teams with their peers – which offers a chance to socialize, to form connections, and experience a sense of shared purpose. Each group is supported by a DreamTeams coach, who accompanies the team to the partner site and provides help as needed.

Engage

DreamTeams provides host sites with a ready crew of helping hands, while volunteers build friendships, develop skills, and remain actively engaged in the local community.

Join Us!

By joining DreamTeams, you’ll gain valuable work experience, form lasting friendships, and be out in the community. It’s more than just volunteering – it’s about belonging.

Host a DreamTeam

Partnering with DreamTeams is a great way to tap into a valuable, underutilized community resource and to show your commitment to inclusion

If your organization welcomes community volunteers on a regular basis, please consider hosting a group of volunteers from DreamTeams.
