Both professionally and personally, Alyssa is passionate about creating opportunities for individuals with economic and social challenges to achieve their full potential. A professor of entrepreneurship at Georgetown, Alyssa currently serves as Executive Director of the Pivot Program, a professional development program for career-oriented returning citizens. She also serves on the advisory board of BroadFutures, a national organization that helps neurodivergent young people to develop a greater sense ofconfidence in their personal and professional skills through internship programs with major employers. 

Alyssa began her career on Wall Street and then joined management consultants McKinsey & Co. She left consulting to become the Co-Founder of the Great Little Trading Company (GLTC Ltd), a UK-based online retailer of children’s products. Alyssa has a BA in government from Harvard University, and MBA from the NYU Stern School of Business, and Doctorate in Social Work from the University of Southern California.
